SLOW LORIS - ANACORTES, WA
Untitled

what's the idea behind your plates?
i had a few different idea's that i wanted to do, but none of them involved the washable markers we had to use. I never draw with markers, so this was a
difficult assignment for me. i decided to use images/idea's from stencils i've screen printed before
and go from there.

give the wurst visitors your favorite recipe. Wheat paste
Prepare 1 cup (2.4 dl) of very hot water. Make a thin mixture of 3 tablespoons (45 ml) of white flour and cold water. Pour the cold mixture slowly into the hot water while stirring constantly. Bring to a boil. When
it thickens, allow to cool. Smear on like any other glue. For slightly better strength, add 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of sugar after the glue is thickened. After using a portion, reheat the remaining in a covered jar or
container to sterilize it for storage or keep refrigerated. If wheat flour is not available, other flours will work.

any advice you can pass onto aspiring artists/designers?
DON'T DO IT!*
*to please your parents
*if you are looking to become rich and/or famous
*to meet chicks/fellahs, cuz you'll be far too busy to ever go out on dates
DO!*
*because you WANT to
*because it is your passion and you want to share it with the world (or horde it like a miser!)
*because it is the only thing you've ever wanted to do (even MORE then a becoming a fireman, an indian chief, a ballerina or all of the above!)
Otherwise, become a fun-loving, free-wheeling boxcar hobo. The world could use a few more GOOD hobos.
