what's the idea behind your plates?
I wanted to produce something that looked like it belonged on the plates.

give the wurst visitors your favorite recipe.
Toast
Ingredients: Bread (sliced) and topping of choice
Instruction: Take Bread (this can be pre-sliced, white, brown, wholemeal, whatever takes your fancy) and using either a grill or "toaster" to apply heat until golden brown (or desired shade). To finish use butter and/or topping of choice. Serve immediately.

what contemporary artists are you inspired by?
Chris ware, Andy Goldsworthy...erm, loads of people.

last piece of art acquired?
A print sent to me by a friend called Rachell Sumpter, this was ages ago now.

tell the audience what movie/book/album/website/tv show/magazine you love that most people haven't seen/read/heard?
Sean and Daves Long Drive by Sean Condon (book). Unexamined Life by Supreme Dicks (Album). Anything by Ivor Cutler (books, music). People may have
read/heard/seen all of these but then they may have not.

schooled or self taught artist?
Taught as a graphic design, self taught as everything else.

favorite place in your town?
My bed

favorite place in the world?
Nepal

any advice you can pass onto aspiring artists/designers?
Just try and be honest with yourself and trust your instinct. It's amazing what you can do when you stop trying.
