what's the idea behind your piece?
I love looking through all the old paintings at the thrift store, all these Ideal American lanscapes. I also always see a whole bunch with tropical fish and birds little scary kids and owls I made this boring fall scene in to a more exciting winter one the yellow bushes were not working so they left, and some birds added some winter excitement.

what's your favorite thrift/antique/vintage store find?
once on the same visit I found a plaster mold of a nome, { so one could make more nomes} and a plaster end table that was in the shape of a stump with birds peeking out of little knot holes and it was only 1.00

what contemporary artists are you inspired by?
Some of the people I look at are Mark Dion, Vito Acconci, Grant Wood, Egon Schiele, Stuart Davis, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Walton Ford, Alexis Rockman, Fay Jones and my mother

last piece of art acquired?
I last bought a great Print by Bawana Spoons

tell the audience what movie, book, album, website, tv show, and magazine you love that most people haven't seen/read/heard?
I like V Man Magazine and love the new Gwen Stefani Video
