how did you hear about gocco?
During my first year of grad school, Adriane Herman was a visiting artist and told me about this wonderful machine (amongst other nuggets of wisdom). I immediately bought one and was addicted.

what do you like about gocco versus other mediums you work in?
I like the instant gratification of it. The speed. Easy to improvise. The fact that at first glance people think you are printing with a toy and then you kick their skeptical ass by showing them how awesome it is. and then they want one. I also just like multiples. A LOT.

do you have any gocco tips/tricks?
I place used screens in a plastic bag and refrigerate and then use them again the next day. I don't recommend doing that if you are going to leave them in there for a long time, but for a short break you are golden.

what does love mean to you?
Well, according to quizilla:

what contemporary artists are you inspired by?
Conrad Bakker, Stephanie Syjuco, Ellie Harrison, Harrell Fletcher, David Lu, Brian Ulrich & Patricia Waller

tell the audience what movie, book, album, website, tv show, and magazine you love that most people haven't seen/read/heard?
MOVIE: The entire 7up series...dude, I am seriously needing my fix. Where in the hell is 49 up?
BOOK: Deep Storage: Collecting, Storing, and Archiving in Art. It is my security blanket. I can never find a copy of it to own, so I constantly keep it checked out of the library. The library has two copies, so I am not hogging it.
ALBUM: eagle*seagull:s/t
WEBSITE: Francis Fergusson
TV SHOW: Battlestar Galactica. and watching my Freaks & Geeks dvds just puts me in a good place.
MAGAZINE: Octopus Magazine

favorite place in your town?
Sitting on the dock of Petty's BBQ (come on, it's the south!).

favorite place in the world?
In front of a wall of sound created from a band that I like in any small club. But, people don't crowd me too much...I am a little claustrophobic.

any advice you can pass onto aspiring artists/designers?
Keep ya head up!
